Frequently asked questions

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card built into your device. Instead of swapping a physical card, you download a mobile plan over the air and activate it instantly — no scissors, no trays, no waiting.

Most modern smartphones support eSIM, including iPhone XS and later, Google Pixel 3 and later, and many Samsung Galaxy S and Z series devices. Check your device settings under Cellular or Mobile Data — if you see an 'Add eSIM' or 'Add Data Plan' option, you're good to go.

Install your eSIM before you travel — you'll need a Wi-Fi or data connection to download it. Once installed, leave it inactive until you land at your destination, then simply toggle it on. Activating early won't harm anything, but your data validity period starts on first use in many plans.

After purchase you'll receive an email containing a QR code and SM-DP+ address. On iOS: go to Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM and scan the QR code. On Android: go to Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → Add SIM. Tap through the prompts and your plan will be ready within seconds.

Yes — all Seamless plans include hotspot sharing so you can connect your laptop or tablet to your phone's data connection. Hotspot speeds may be throttled on some regional networks after a daily fair-use threshold.

Absolutely. Your physical SIM stays in your phone for calls and texts on your home number, while the Seamless eSIM handles data abroad. Set the eSIM as your default data SIM in your device settings and you're all set.

Your data connection will pause once you've used your full allocation. You can return to the plans page and purchase a new plan for the same region at any time — there's no penalty and no automatic top-up charge.
